At Fans & Blowers, we believe that the strength of our products is a direct reflection of the strength of our people. Today, we are proud to officially introduce the newest member of our leadership team: Adrian Nield, our new General Manager.
Adrian joins us with a career that can only be described as distinguished. From his early days as a 16-year-old apprentice in Plymouth to leading operations for global automotive and aerospace giants, Adrian’s journey is rooted in a genuine passion for "making stuff."
Adrian’s background is a masterclass in British manufacturing. Starting his mechanical engineering apprenticeship in 1986, he spent two decades in the high-stakes automotive industry, producing components for brands like Nissan and Volkswagen. Later, as Head of Operations at Goodridge, he honed the leadership skills necessary to manage complex technical environments.
Most recently, Adrian held leadership roles within the airflow and ventilation industry, giving him a deep, specialized understanding of the challenges and opportunities that Fans & Blowers navigates every day.
When asked what drew him to our team, Adrian was clear: it’s about the impact.
"I’ve been in bigger corporates, but I like to work in a business where everybody has an input, everybody's voice needs to be heard, and everybody can make a difference."
For Adrian, the size and culture of Fans & Blowers represent the perfect "sweet spot." With a team of 25 dedicated professionals, he sees a unique opportunity to be hands-on with the products, the processes, and, most importantly, the people.
The Vision for Growth
Adrian’s remit is focused on taking our established reputation for quality and pushing it into the next era. His goals for the coming months include:
Developing People: Empowering our team, from those with 30 years of experience to our newest recruits.
Product Evolution: Refining our engineering processes to ensure we remain at the cutting edge of the industry.
Strategic Growth: Leveraging his background in "Lean" manufacturing and operations to drive efficiency and scale.
In his first few weeks, Adrian has been most impressed by the enthusiasm on the shop floor.
"People here really want to do a good job; they are passionate about it," Adrian noted. "We have a real good mix of people, some folks have been here 30 years, others for two. We want to take that collective knowledge and move forward."
We are excited to see where Adrian’s leadership takes us. Whether you are a long-standing client or a new partner, we invite you to reach out and say hello to Adrian.
