If your church organ relies on a B.O.B. Stevenson blower, here is some good news: the name you trust is still very much here, and the products are better than ever.
Since June 2025, B.O.B. Stevenson has been part of the Fans & Blowers family. That means the same specialist organ blower know-how, now backed by a UK fan manufacturer with more than 50 years of engineering behind it. Whether you look after a village church, a cathedral, a concert hall or a school chapel, you can still get the quiet, reliable wind supply your instrument needs, along with advice from people who understand it.
B.O.B. Stevenson was founded in Derby in 1932 and built its reputation on low-noise blowers, with organ blowers among its best-known products. For generations of organ builders, churchwardens and maintenance teams, the B.O.B. name on a blower has meant dependable wind supply.
In June 2025, Fans & Blowers acquired B.O.B. Stevenson. The B.O.B. Stevenson range now sits within Fans & Blowers, manufactured and supported from our site in Highbridge, Somerset. Leonard Perrott, previously Managing Director of B.O.B. Stevenson, continues to champion B.O.B. products and customers within the business.
For you, that means:
That is why a good organ blower is quiet, well balanced and isolated from the structure around it. B.O.B. Stevenson blowers are found wherever pipe organs are played, including:
The same quiet, vibration-isolated design also suits other jobs. Suitable selections can supply furnace combustion air and general process air, where low noise and smooth running matter just as much.

Today’s B.O.B. Stevenson organ blowers keep the established airflow designs that made the name, and pair them with modern electric motors and spring anti-vibration mounts. The result is quiet running and less vibration passed into the floor, walls and organ case.
The TOT range is built from compact cast aluminium, making it well suited to smaller duties and tight spaces.
The XB range is built from mild steel for larger duties. Crucially, an XB blower can be dismantled into smaller assemblies for installation through restricted access.
That matters in older buildings. Organ chambers are often reached through narrow doors, spiral stairs or loft hatches. An XB blower can be taken in piece by piece and reassembled in place, so you are not forced into a compromise on size.
Many churches are still running blowers that were installed decades ago. If yours is getting noisy, struggling to hold pressure or due for an upgrade as part of a restoration, our team can help you choose the right replacement.
We look at the instrument’s wind requirements and the details of your existing blower, then factor in the space available, any access restrictions and the acoustic environment. This is especially important when fitting a new blower into an existing organ chamber or a listed building, where noise and disruption need to be kept to a minimum.
Fans & Blowers also offers servicing and spares and replacement parts, so support does not stop once the blower is installed.
